Loose Dental Crowns
Losing a dental crown may be alarming, but there is no need to panic. The Placerville Dental Group can reattach or repair your crown and offers the following advice.
Steps to Take With Broken Dental Crowns
- Collect the crown that has fallen off. If it is in one piece, it may be possible to reattach it. If it is broken, you will likely need a new crown. Bring all of it in to our dental practice, no matter what its condition.
- Clean the crown or whatever remains of it.
- Keep the crown in a small, clean plastic bag, box, or medicine bottle.
- Contact the Placerville Dental Group at (530) 444-5322. We will get you in to see a dentist as soon as possible.
Here to Assist with Broken Dental Crowns
If your crown has fallen out, rest assured that it can be fixed. If you are in pain, we will see you at our office promptly. Fixing a crown with super glue is not recommended. Although strong, such adhesives are not designed for use with plastic and other substances, not human tissues! Trust our dental staff to use safe and effective solutions for fixing your crown.
